The Private Lounge Supercar Drive in Lebanon

The Private Lounge Supercar Drive in Lebanon

The Private Lounge in Lebanon recently held a drive from downtown Beirut to some mountain regions of the country with a plethora of high-performance cars. Slayclops Photography was present at the event and provided some stunning shots of the vehicles on show.

Some of the cars included a modified Lamborghini Aventador Roadster with Capristo test pipes, a red Lamborghini Huracan and a Porsche Cayman GT4. Although the club members also have an Azzurro Dino Ferrari 458 Speciale and a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the two couldn’t make it to the trip. That said, there were several cars from the likes of BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Maserati as well.

The Private Lounge is a “very active” and growing supercar club in Lebanon. They regularly hold events and drives for their members and are part of the larger car culture in the Middle East country.

GTspirit recently covered the Hydra Performance automotive tuning shop, which is run by Xavier Mossad and its portfolio includes a range of customised American and Japanese cars. Moreover, W Motors, the company behind the Lykan Hypersport supercar which featured in the last installment of the Fast and Furious movie series, started out in Lebanon.

Introducing The 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Q4

2014 Maserati Ghibli S Q4

There is a lot resting on the Maserati Ghibli. Maserati is keen to expand into markets and it is hoped that the new Maserati Ghibli will lay the foundations in the company car segment. There are even plans afoot for a new SUV. The Maserati Q4 all-wheel drive platform then, is the Italian brand’s quattro rival!

Far from succeeding the historic Ghibli name in the conventional sense (the preceding two generation Ghibli’s were both coupe’s), the new Maserati Ghibli is a four-door sedan. It does retain the same front engined rear wheel drive setup for some of the lower down models, although the model we are testing today features four-wheel drive which, alongside the Maserati Quattroporte S Q4, is a company first!

The 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Q4 features a 3.0 litre V6 engine, the same as that fitted to pits older sibling, the Maserati Quattroporte S Q4. This V6 features a 410 hp at 4,500 rpm engine with 550 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm and, for the moment, it sits atop the brand new Ghibli range. Customers can also order a petrol V6 with slightly less power and a turbocharged diesel.

What makes the Maserati Ghibli really stand out from the crowd though are its looks and the beautiful sound it makes. Tempted?
