In Brooklyn New York a V12 Lamborghini Aventador split in two after hitting a tree! The driver claims to have been hit by another Lamborghini going 100 MPH in Brooklyn today.
This white Aventador lost control and hit a tree where it split into two parts. Basically the engine bay disconnected from the rest of the car. The car is designed to do this for safety reasons.
It appears the Aventador’s monocoque tub did it’s job and protected the occupants. The driver is in the hospital but is expected to not have sustained any severe injuries.
The driver of the other car is reported to not be in as good a condition as the driver of the car above.
The Aventador is a 700 HP car capable of accelerating faster than most superbikes with a top speed well north of 200MPH. It’s AWD and has a 7 speed sequential automated manual transmission.
